Rosters for new and returning players are due Thursday, November 13.
Schedule:
Registration 8:30am-9:30am
Tournament 10:15am-3:00pm
Trophy Presentation 3:15 (estimated)
Sections: Novice K-4, Novice 5-8 and Advanced
Format: Unrated, no entry fee, Swiss-style parings, no elimination -- everyone plays all rounds.
If you are leaving the event and won't be able to play the next round, PLEASE tell the tournament director so that players aren't waiting for an opponent who will never show.
Advanced section: Game/20 minutes plus a 5 second increment when clocks are available. Notation is required in the advanced section.
In other sections, a five minute, no delay clock may be set at the board at TD's discretion if the game is lagging.
Awards:
Individual trophies to top 10 in both novice sections; Individual trophies to top 6 in advanced section.
Team trophies to top three teams in both novice sections; Team trophy to top two teams in the advanced section.
Team scores are calculated by top four scores in novice sections and top three scores in the advanced.
