A Happy New Year to all !
Join us for our first tournament of 2015 at new hosts Marshall High School on Saturday, January 10th. This tournament will once again feature five sections with 44 trophies awarded.
If you already have a roster on file, no entry list is needed. Just forward any additions to your roster, along with an estimated count of players attending by Thursday, 1/8.

January 10th Tournament at Marshall
John Marshall Metropolitan High School
3250 W. Adams (200 South), at Kedzie
Parking: we'll be using the main parking lot on the south side of Adams, across from the school.
Schedule: Sign-in 8:30 - 9:30 / Tournament 10:00 - 3:15 / Trophy Presentation 3:30 (est.)
All players must check-in at the tournament site by 9:30!
Late arrivals will not be paired in the first round.
5 Sections: Novice K-2, Novice 3-4, Novice 5-6, Novice 7-8, Advanced
- Non-rated, no entry fee
- Notation required in the Advanced section
- Sets provided, Advanced players please bring clocks if possible
- G/20 + 5 second increment in Advanced section when clocks are available
Entries: YCFC uses a roster system for tournament entries. All players on submitted rosters are eligible to play in any YCFC tournament during the scholastic year. Submit rosters, including name, grade, school and section to accounting@apartmentpeople.com
All players must check in on site by 9:30.
Coaches: Please let me know if you plan on attending with a rough estimate of the number of players by Thursday, January 8th.

The following players will move up to the advanced section on January 10 according to YCFC rules:
- Zubair Ahmed, Bateman, Novice 3-4, champion, 3 trophies
- Esteban Taboada, Bateman, Novice 5-6, champion
- Dylan Davis, St. Joseph, Novice 5-6, 2 trophies
- Nathaniel Wells, Skinner North, Novice 5-6, 2 trophies
- Javier Castillo, St. Joseph, Novice 7-8, champion, 2 trophies
- Daniel Bolanos, Gallistel, Novice 7-8, 2 trophies
- Max Ryan, Farnsworth, Novice 7-8, 2 trophies
**Note: The players above are required to move to advanced, but any and all novice players are welcome and encouraged to move to our advanced section at any time! Stronger competition usually leads to sustained growth.
